Work is progressing well, and over 100 people have so far been involved in managing the technological processes being used on site. Each day, around fifty lorry loads of contaminated materials from the waste tip is hand sorted on site. To date, roughly one and a half sized Olympic swimming pools worth of lagoon slurry has been treated by the thermal plant, and approximately 50,000 wheelbarrows of dirty soil has been cleaned using bioremediation.
