The testing period for the thermal plant is well underway. Excavated sediment from one of the contaminated lagoons is now being trialled to make sure that everything is working as it should. Piles of materials are now being accumulated on the south eastern part of the site, ready to commence the bio-remediation. This process will see naturally occurring bugs being used to ‘eat’ the pollutants.
